Gilberto is an investment banking professional with experience in private equity funds and a strong understanding of multiple industries, including distribution, cloud and cybersecurity, manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, and consumer goods.
He began his career at Serficor IMAP, where he was actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, supporting financial analysis, valuation, and deal execution processes. He later joined Tara Capital as an Investment Analyst, where he played a key role in the acquisition of Octapus.io, a leading digital sovereignty platform in Latin America providing innovative cloud and cybersecurity solutions for SMEs undergoing digital transformation.
Gilberto represented Serficor at the IMAP 2024 First Half Conference, where he presented M&A best practices, held bilateral meetings with a broad network of over 450 IMAP member professionals, and completed an intensive program focused on communication and structured thinking, further strengthening his negotiation skills within the investment banking environment.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana and is a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certified by the Corporate Finance Institute.

Gilberto is an experienced financial analyst with a focus on private equity funds and a strong understanding of various sectors, including distribution, cloud and cybersecurity, manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, and consumer goods.
He began his career at Serficor IMAP as a Junior Analyst, where he supported the team in M&A transactions. Following this role, Gilberto transitioned to Tara Capital as an Investment Analyst, playing a key role in the acquisition of Octapus.io, a leading platform for digital sovereignty in Latin America that provides innovative cloud and cybersecurity solutions for SMEs undergoing digital transformation.
Gilberto holds a B.A. in International Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana and is certified as a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) by the Corporate Finance Institute.
Gilberto represented Serficor in the IMAP 2024 Spring Confernece where he discussed M&A best practices, conducted bilateral meetings with most of the 450 IMAP professionals and completed a communications and idea structuring training, enhancing his negotiation soft skills within the investment banking universe.
